What this looks like
You booked on your phone on a Sunday night. When plans change, you can cancel on your phone on a Sunday night too.
You don't have to call during office hours.
Why
One campground's policy requires cancelling by phone. In a separate account, a guest reports trying three times to cancel through a booking system without success.
How it's checked
Testers check the software company and the campground separately. Each gets its own result.
Software company
On a fresh test campground, cancel a reservation within the window in Appendix A, T14.
Pass
- Online cancellation works.
- It is on by default.
- It costs the campground nothing extra.
Fail
- It's missing or a paid add-on.
Campground
Check its settings and booking flow. No live test booking is needed.
Pass
- Online cancellation is on.
- The policy is shown before payment.
Fail
- It turned online cancellation off.
- The policy isn't shown before payment.
Not met
- Software limitation: its software doesn't offer online cancellation.
