The rule
Every way to book uses one calendar. Two guests can never be confirmed for the same site and night.
- Online, staff, kiosk and marketplace reservations all draw on the same calendar.
- "Confirmed" means any message that reads as a reservation, receipt or payment, even if it's cancelled later.
- No staff override can confirm a second guest for a taken site and night.
What this looks like
A walk-up guest pays for site 8 at the office. A minute later, someone online tries to book site 8 for the same night.
The online booking is refused.
Why
At one campground, a walk-up payment was overridden by a later online reservation. Evidence of double-selling is thin; this rule is mainly a promise that the software works.
How it's checked
