The rule
The software company makes no money from site choice.
- Guests can pick a binding site online with no fee rule of any amount set up.
- This works on every plan the software company sells.
- It takes no share of any site-selection charge, including through a percentage fee figured on a total that includes that charge.
- None of its charges is higher because the guest picked a specific site.
What this looks like
A campground turns on "guests choose their site" and sets no extra charge. Guests can now pick a site online, free.
If the campground does charge for site choice, all of that money goes to the campground.
Why
One software company's own help page says "guests can only select their site when booking online if there's a fee associated."
